This is a part-time position - 48 hours per pay period with flexibility in scheduled hours and with potential of moving into Full Time.
As an RN MDS Nurse at Country Manor:
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all assigned MDS’s, CAA’s, and care plans according to State Regulations and Standards.
- Complete RN Assessments as assigned.
- Will actively work with nursing staff to aid in accuracy and completion of item sets of MDS.
- Will be responsible to know and comply with facility and department safety rules.
- Assume responsibility for personal growth and development by attending in-services and educational programs made available.
- Attend daily report and monthly wing meetings.
- Assists with auditing of documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and standards of practice are met.
- Assists with skin assessments and weekly skin rounds as directed.
- Assists with completion of clinical and reimbursement audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Knowledge and understanding of reimbursement of skilled payors/insurances including but not limited to Medicare, Medicare Replacement, private and commercial health plans.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Minnesota Case Mix System, MDS process, care planning system and general resident assessment requirements.
- Strong nursing assessment skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- Must be in good mental and physical health and have a genuine concern for the elderly.
Qualifications Preferred:
- 2 + years’ experience as an RN Knowledge and understanding of resident assessment instrument (MDS)
