The mission of Country Manor Culinary Services is to provide customers with nutritionally based meals, offered “restaurant-style,” with menu creativity and excitement, and a twist of “fine-dining” experiences. Food is an important part of overall well-being and is an extremely significant part of every day at Country Manor.

The incumbent of this role will assist in leading our award-winning culinary team while working alongside nursing and support staff—all with one common goal: enriching the lives of the people we serve.


As a Culinary Team Lead, you'll:

  • Work alongside kitchen staff/kitchen supervisors to direct a cohesive team
  • Maintain an inviting, welcoming environment for staff
  • Assist in ensuring residents and patients have a good dining experience
  • Assist in menu creation, as requested
  • Initiate/assist in daily production lists
  • Be responsible for overall cleanliness/sanitation of all culinary areas
  • Ensure Safe Food Handling is followed
  • Maintain consistent Dept. of Health inspection standards
  • Ensure standardized recipes are followed and portion control is practiced
  • Be scheduled for regular cooking shifts and covering shifts as needed in all areas
  • Coordinate/conduct kitchen staff training
  • Maintain all equipment
  • Maintain inventory and assist in ordering
  • Other tasks as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Is a Certified Food Production Manager
  • Has at least 1-2 years of cooking experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting
  • Has 1+ years' experience in the supervision of employees
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Is adaptable and flexible to organize and prioritize department needs
  • Possesses excellent time management skills
  • Displays tact and patience when dealing with residents/staff

This is a part-time position, approximately 40 hours per pay period. Candidates must be available to work shifts 6 AM - 2:30 PM and 11:30 AM - 8 PM. This position requires every other weekend, Holiday, and an on-call rotation.
