This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, with only an occasional weekend and holiday.
Wage **$25.97 and up** based on experience. $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

This role is a Nursing Leadership position that will help lead the Rapid Recovery 2 nursing team. The LPN Desk will manage the daily decisions for the Rapid Recovery 2 unit, ensuring continuity of care for sub-acute patients of RR2.
The LPN Desk Nurse will assume the role as the nursing manager for their area, and will be the main communicator, collaborator and resource for patients, patient families, physicians, and other departments. They will work directly alongside the nurse management team, acting an extensive of the RN Case Manager and Director of Nursing.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Be a central communicator and resource for families, providers and other departments
- Manage the unit's daily decisions to ensure continuity of care quality outcomes are met
- Asses patient needs, respond, communicate, and collaborate with rounding physician
- Meet routinely with DON and Case Management team to discuss personnel and patient care status, issues, and information
- Supervise all documentation of patient information
- Prepare records for patients
- Help lead a team of capable, committed nurses
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments appropriately
- Provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff, providing informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback input for the annual performance evaluation
- Participate in patient care plan meetings
- Train and orient staff as necessary
- Assist nursing management team with staff meetings as needed to keep patient care staff informed of changes in patient care needs or operations to improve delivery of care
- Assume primary responsibility in an emergency situation
- Implement changes in patient care/treatment as directed
- Monitor and supervise all patient care activity and assist as necessary
- Collaborate with direct patient care team in making decisions to benefit patient care
- Act as the subject matter expert and as a resource for staff members
- Supervise and participate in completion of short and long term care plans
- Admit new patients according to facility procedure
- Ensure educational needs of patients are met and educate the patient and family
- Supervise the safe and effective use of all equipment involved in direct patient care
- Promote efficient use of medical supplies
- Attend and participate in Quality meetings as requested
- The ideal candidate needs to be detail-oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

As a LPN Desk Nurse, you will be a leader complete work that involves clerical duties to maintain an organized unit and allow nursing staff to focus on patient care. You will also maintain a line of communication between the patient and clinical staff while reporting directly to the RN Case Manager and Director of Nursing.
